The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has led to a global economic crisis that has shown the hospitality industry little mercy. In June of 2020, the owner of Vancouver’s Shaughnessy Restaurant, (to whom I’d provided social media and general marketing guidance in the past), contacted me for help. He said business had slowed to a standstill, and he asked if I could send along some ideas.
