As a ghostwriter for a London-based content marketing/SEO agency, the work I produce – which includes sponsored press release, blog, slideshow, infographic, podcast, and video content – is published without my byline.

But that’s ok. Just knowing the work is being picked up by hundreds of media outlets is enough for me. And for those who still need more, I’ve retained my original notes and am always happy to share.

This press release was written for US-based Shivelight Premium Beverage, a small batch, all-natural drinking vinegars company:

Missoula MT Drinking Vinegars – Healthy Organic Locally Sourced Shrubs Launched

Missoula, Montana-based Shivelight Premium Beverage Company is launching a contemporary upgrade on a centuries-old recipe. Shrub drinks, once used as a medicinal tonic for a variety of ailments, have been modernized by family-owned Shivelight Premium Beverage Company to showcase Montana’s thriving agriculture.

Shrub drinks are a product of intensely flavorful ingredients that serve as a unique, organic alternative to sugary sodas and high fructose fruit drinks. The new Shivelight Premium Shrubs, now available online in packages of three, six and in bulk, are made with local ingredients sourced from partnering farmers in Missoula, Montana.

Once used only as medicinal cordials, the newly launched shrubs are a tasty, nutritious alternative to standard beverages.

Shivelight shrubs are made from a blend of local, sustainable Montana ingredients supplied by a select group of growers. Beverages come in four flavours: Bitterroot Apple and Cinnamon, Flathead Cherry, Ginger Honey, and Huckleberry.

The Bitterroot Apple and Cinnamon Shrub is made from macerated raw, shredded Bitterroot apples grown in Missoula’s Bitterroot Valley, and the addition of natural cinnamon sticks.

Flathead Cherry Shrub gets its name from Flathead Lake, the largest natural body of freshwater west of the Mississippi River. The cherries used in this beverage are sourced from a community of farmers renowned for the quality of their crops.

The company’s Ginger Honey Shrub is made with ginger that is cultivated in especially rare conditions in the Camas Prairie. The huckleberries used to make the Shivelight Huckleberry Shrub are sourced from elevated areas along the Pacific Northwest coast, a region conducive to naturally thriving berry plants.

All four Shivelight Premium Shrub varieties are enhanced with Montana knapweed honey, raw apple cider vinegar and a splash of water. There are no preservatives or stabilizers in any of their beverages.

Shrubs are an excellent source of nutrients, enzymes, proteins and helpful gut bacteria. They can be paired with carbonation for extra fizz and can also add a kick of extra flavor to cocktail drinks.

The word “shivelight” is an old English term that describes the sun rays that break through the forest cover. The purpose behind the Shivelight brand is to convey those same feelings to their customers.

With the launch of their natural, locally sourced drinking vinegars, the founders of Shivelight Premium Beverage are bringing a unique, organic alternative to consumers who can now enjoy a nutrient-dense refreshment without the extra sugars and preservatives that define most drinks on the market today.
